Classic has a raw feel about it and you get quite a harsh turbo kick. Interior isn't the best though, dash very basic and quite cheap.
Newage (Bugeye,Blobeye,Frogeye) lacks the feel of the Classic and is more refined, gone is the turbo kick. The car is a lot more solid though and the interior and dash is a lot better.
Agree with what mark says. I've been out in my mates standard WRX blobeye and it's pretty average. It's fast, well 220bhp fast, but lacks the kick of the WRX classics (altho all of those are imports and we all know uk ones are poop ). STI PPP has a kick tho

Probably worth pointing out that the difference between insuring a UK classic and a Jap one are considerably different. Probably the same for newer models.

320
Type UKs are good, just don't have DCCD and other bits. Can achieve same power tho. Not as good as Jap blobeyes tho with twin scroll turbo etc.

It's all about PPP
TBH, you could skip the couple of K PPP and just get a remap and uprated fuel pump to get the 310bhp.
