There are obviously some parents who dont give a shit what their kids are upto, sometimes massive gangs of about 15-20 kids aged about 7-12 outside the front of mine at about 11pm hanging off the bridge wires and giving shit to people coming over it.
Gets me mad

I agree, although while I was brought up with my mother being the housewife looking after me & my sister & imo dont me the world of good I think now in my generation that will not be possible in order to live by todays standards.

I believe the rise of the chav youth to be due to unattentive or a lacking in proper child development that would be delivered by mothers at home. Problem with career women is they a. Think being a housewife is degrading when what is more important than bringing new life into thd world and caring nurturing & educating them?! Thats called life!
B. The ones who want the big hotshot career AND a baby but cant wait to send the poor kid off to some stranger to bring it up are the ones causing the problem. Problem with feminism the world is not enough.
anyway upmost respect for anyond trying to do the right thing when bringing up a child. The child should be the priority over anything else. That is the downfall of alot of parents imo.
and i also agree chavs can come from good backgrounds as my sister was a perfect example. Shes grown out of it mostly now but her year at school was full of god awfull miscreants who alot of are now in prison or drug addicts. So i agree but think its a bigger more complicated picture

Should be able to beat children. In fact, if you are walking down the street and you see a child doing something you don't like you should go to prison for not beating some sense into them.

Theres more pressure on women to stay in work nowdays as a single salary wont bring in enough to give them the standard of life they desire. Thats why alot of kids from supposedly 'good homes' get dragged up & become scum....the parents are never there as their out working to pay for the big 4 bed detached home, 2 new cars & 2 foreign holidays & now kids in the latest gear, nike trainers & sony PSP’s etc etc That’s why………………..pre Thatcher people just made do with what they had & there wasn’t half the greed there is nowdays.

It's the sense of immunity from the law mostly. Even when you turn 18 and punished as an adult the penalties are laughable.

Agreed. The lack of punishment means there is no deterrent to not do whatever the fuck they like. People have forgotten that humans are essentialy animals and punishment worked since civilisation has been existing so getting a smack when theyve done wrong isnt going to scar them or tell them violence is ok. Gtf

i blame it on the lack of discipline, i was always a good boy because i know for a fact that my dad would have given me a clip around the head. Nobody can touch kids these days and they know it, they now do what they want with no fear of the backlash.

why are there 'chavs'? its simple, its down to political correctness and stupid european laws.
those things lead to lack of control which leads to lack of respect for those controlling them.
for example: teachers cant shout at kids these days like they used to, when I was in school teachers used to grab kids and pin them against a wall! now they have lost these powers, they have lost the respect and the 'fear' element. when that goes, so does the behaviour and leads to lack of dicipline.
