i think people have underestmated the builder
Ian Howell, iirc built sunnys 178MPH fiesta and paul Johnsons 179mph fiesta, he knows what he's doing, there both FWD

but JR theres a huge diffrence between 179mph fiesta and a 800bhp focus top speeds great but its all about traction why not the 4wd route?

AN racing ran a 10.8 with 800bhp, not in 600bhp spec 
Looks like a good engine, should be the start of the Duratec revolution, people won't bother with the YB anymore, as it's too old and the design isn't as good.

it has taken 20 years though rob to get to this stage for the yb, and considering its block is from even earlier its still quite an achivment

Yeah, I know that, all I meant was that people will stop worshipping stuff just for the badge now, as a 'normal' engine is just as good, if not better.

Fantastic Engine build! And lol at the people saying whats the point of 800bhp in a FWD.... People who know what their doing can get the power down just fine.
Surprised they've gone for a Focus though.... heavier car to start off with... they must have their reasons...
