plus an impreza would be double to run compared to a small turbo hatch.

A 90 spec one, it has better bumpers and spoiler, and a nicer interior.

90 spec cars were from late 1989 to some time in 2001, so are F and G plates.

I've never actually been in one I don't think

Standard won't be anything special (better than a 1.6 corsa) but tuned, I imagine they're pretty good fun.
