It's not nice not being able to sleep and staying awake till 5.00am having tried everything. You just want to get up and kick the door down it's that bad!

Clear your head of any thoughts at all. DOn't think about anything.
I had hot flushes all night as well, serious sweats. NAsty stuff.
Only lasted about a week - week n half odd so the ends in sight. Stick with it, its just the sudden change for the body not falling into a deep sleep.
U'll start to remember your dreams again as well, freaky sh1t I tell you, sometimes scarey....
Stick with it, u'll feel so awake and have so much more energy... I wouldn't see before 11am on a weekend. The other saturday i was up by 9am, outside stripping down my old bike enigne by 10am.
Probably wouldn't have even bothered if i had been smoking.

Certainly did yes thanks fella. Good to hear other people who've been in the same situation that can offer advice.
Literally, i feel like im 20 again, so awake, so much more will to do things opposed to monging out in front of the TV. Plus the extra cash im saving paid for my new bike insurance (upgrade) and all the bits for my new bike, plus loads of other things. Even started on the ol wine and even started having a few beers again (smoking then drinking wasn't nice, but drinking THEN smoking usually ended up with the world spinning big time, and possibly a visit to the loo ).
Only thing is im sooooooooooooooooooo bored on the weekday evenings as I don't watch all the cr4p on TV. But again, i've got the funds to start a new hobby that i've always wanted to do, so hopefully i'll be occupied again.
But its no-where near as bad as I thought giving up. Just proves that Green isn't an addictive drug, as bar the sleeping issues, i had no wants or needs to smoke.

I'd say so yeah. I smoked it for a long time (7 years odd).
Overall, i'd say yeah, its good quitting being a daliy smoker, but every so often I will have a smoke again (i don't smoke fags either) as I've proved to myself now that I can give up, its just takes a bit of willpower.
But tbh, i don't really miss the monged out feeling anymore. If anything, the opposite, the fact im so alive, awake and wanting to do so many things is worth it alone.
Edit, not to mention the dead feeling in the morning, the black tired eyes, the cash savings, the not wanting to go out and do anything becuase im battered, the furry tounge in the morning, the coughing up sticky gunky stuff in the morning....

As I said, just over a year for me now and not looked back once. I smoked it from that age of 13 , pretty much every day from the age of 15 and quit when I was 21 last jan. Looking back at it now with a clear head I cant believe i wasted so much of my life sitting around getting stoned when I could have been doingbetter things. Yeah it was a laugh from time to time in the right circumstances, but theres just no need to smoke it every day cos you turn into a typical lazy stoner, and it takes all the fun away. I don't even like being with other stoners now cos I find them really boring to be around, bit hypocritical I know cos i was like it for years, but it's nice to do something productive instead of just being a lazy bum
