Most if not all garages i've dealt with, there first questions are "will you need finance" and "do you have a prt exchange". Even if you say you've got a part ex aftet thye've agreed a price, they'll just knock money off what they'll give you part ex to balance it out.

You'll want to walk in there knowing what the cars worth retail, so you know if there trying to pull a fast one. Don't expect the same, but it'll give you a ball park figure, most likely minus £500-£1k.

Pick faults in the car, find a comparable car on autotrader cheaper, and show them a printout of it (they'll more than likely know of it already if it's local anyway).

Depends how much profit there is left on the car, if they have it advertised at cost they won't knock anything off it. Just go in low and see what they say, if its not enough at least you tried and you can go from there.
