if people sold their cars after some one had broken in there would be alot of cars forsale.
Get an alarm with proximity sensors

Surely if they're going to break into it in broad daylight a proximity sensor isn't gonna make that much difference. Folk like that don't give a damn, had my car broken into on my driveway!
Don't worry about your boss, he's probably more concerned with the business' insurance premium going up than the fact that you are losing stuff out of it.
You can't not have nice things just cos someone "might" steal them.
