Ramadan was never a festival anyway, it's just a month in the Muslim calendar, in which people fast, but they do NOT impose it on anybody (not saying Easter is imposed on people)..The celebration day is Eid (only one day) and there is no holiday for this (not asking for one either)

so whats your point caller?
Robin summed it up perfactly, if they want to cancel one religious festival/event then they may aswell ban the lot.
Personally I couldn't give a fucj. I dont celebrate either

you want to cancel a religious festival...no problem with that...
But what's the point of cancelling something that is not even a festival?
Got it now?
edit...isn't this thread about changes in words that are colour related? NOT BELIEF related

Haha tbh its a load of shit:
BROWN sauce is on every supermarket shelf
we work with interactive WHITE boards in everyschool.
and its still a BLACKboard as far as im concerned. I just think its some over excited govenors at your childs school Dave tbh.
No sign of it where i live at the moment although there was a big thing about a teacher telling kids that santa didnt exist. Ended up in the newspaper and the teacher getting sacked. But then sued the school for unfair dismissal.
Its a weird world we live in ..
edit lets stay on topic

that's the irony. I am not white and not black either.
Did you read a post I made above...I said the word black with no intent to offend, yet a 'white' teacher was not happy at all that I used that word and asked me to retract...This happended last Wednesday. And yet, you state that it's not the 'white' British people making the complaints.

maybe they are complaining as a reaction to the double standards our society now seems to adopt, lack of equality through actions which are menat to help equality it seems.

Are you sure? am almost certain they can't sell it as 'brown sauce' any more. Any bottles of HP sauce i've seen now only say 'HP Sauce' on the front.
