LiamC we stayed in Poland's second city for most of it which is called Krakow, this is the closest airport to Auschwitz, but its still a 45-60 minute journey, there are 2 camps which require another small journey in between.
 Jamie, the ghetto was where they were forced into after they had their homes robbed from them, no more wealth there

i didn't see any scantily clad good looking women, with it being -15 an all 
deano, the scale of it was breathtaking, looking from one side of Birkenau (the bigger of the two) to the other side, with the weather was impossible, as the photos show.
the worst part for me was seeing the gates for the first time, knocked me funny. the sick irony of the sign was like a smack in the face actually bring there
