Also are the mechanics really as much a gamble as made out?? Ive been reading up on the issues with the metal used in the cylinder linings(nikasil)& how in this country in the 90's our petrol contained to much sulphur and basiclly washed out the linings in these engines causing them to fail. Could be a worry & I fully expect them not to be cheap to repair!!

LOL the wee polo gti is expensive for what it is.....a 6yr old warm hatch, but i'm liking them also as far as small cars go compaired to anything else of similar age, will do just for going to Asda etc so the beemer doesnt get dinged
