i crashed my car, caused over £700 worth of damage. it made me kmore aware but didn't stop me driving a bit fast in some areas (never speed in residential areas though as i couldn't live with myself if i hit a pedestrian).
from my experience, you will learn from your mistake but it wont stop you going that little bit faster. gotta be honest as everyone breaks the speed limit, even if you say you don't.

I was going to say he sounds like a dick head... its people like you that cause high insurance and deaths on the road.. A common sense section should be added to driving tests I think..

Imagine if someone was crossing just behind the bridge?
Fucking idiot.

Everyone has driven over the limit, done stupid things, especially when you first pass your test I know I did, but we learn from our mistakes, no need to say ''your the cause of high insurance'' bullshit on every bloody crash thread.....
Apart from the bodywork if you have a bent wheel you never know could just be a bent rear axle, I picked one up for 40quid down the local breakers!
Good luck and be more carefull, could of been another car you hit.

You wouldn't be saying that if you were coming the other way on the bridge at that time, would you? Some things are finding your limits, but some are just plain stupid and dangerous.

Always makes me laugh, I'll store this thread for when someone on this thread posts they've had a prang

60 on a single bridge is crazy tho.
i have only passed a week (nearly 2)
but no way in hell am i going to fly down a single road let alone a hump bridge with nice blind spots everywhere, im scared of hitting a kerb with my car let alone a brick wall. Im happy with speeds on M1 or other sections that are open but! thats it for me. I couldn't live with myself if i crashed my car let alone caused injuries or deaths to people.
But hrm, thats one expensive job tbh. Could be anywhere from £100-£400+ depends on how much damage is done to your frame etc. Cost me £100 for a new part of the frame without labour was £250 including fitting of that and the rad.
Unlucky, but you asked for it.
Sorry tho still not nice to crash.

How do you know he couldnt have done that damage at 60? All you can see is external damage. Corsa bumpers can take a lot of abuse, ive bent a crash panal and the bumper was fine. You wernt there, havent seen the wall in question so therefore you cant really say that he wasnt doing 60.

Friend hit a fox at 60, did more noticeable damage

Thats prob cos the impact of a fox would be concentrated onto a smaller surface area than a wall.

Depends on the size of the wall?
Ah just playing. But still friend hit a car the other week at 20mph and wrote it off
Suppose it was unlucky about the crash but lucky about the so called lack of noticeable damage
