good test on your mates, if you think you got a mate who pretends hes drunk when hes actually not, then buy him a koppaberg cider but get the non alcoholic one, and you buy the normal one get him a few of those and see if he acts an idiot i've done it to one of my friends, its funny - even better leave it till the next morning to tell them it was non alcoholic!

Dirty pints? completly diff to the 'poncey looking' cocktails some of our bars do

i did a dirty pint in gran canaria a few yrs back, was on a 18-30s holiday and itwas my 19th birthday, the reps got me one, was a full pint and was a shot of every spirit on the bar. I did it as there was a huge crowd around, felt fine for about 30mins then it was hell, haven't done another one ever again

I have started to drink pints again after drinking alot of corona. Went out last night just to the pub as I had a bit of cash after being skint for a bit. Had about 5 pints and 3 double jim beam black and cokes' in about 3 and a half hours. I was a bit bevvied but just nicely, I tend to 'go for it' at the weekends especially if I've just been paid etc and generally wake up with some black spots I'm not sure why as I enjoy nights like last night more. Although saying that I am nowhere near as much of a mong when I'm wankered now

isnt it the same stuff rebottled?

Yes, made in the same place and everything.
I drink pints, grolsch or something similiar but not stella, usually go for these as the carling and fosters usually tastes like shit. Although prefer fosters over carling. If its bootles i go for peroni nastro or brahma if available. Mate always buy bud though.

Recent developments
In addition to Strongbow Sirrus, Scottish & Newcastle has extended the Strongbow range with Jacques by Strongbow, a 5.5% ABV cider with cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant flavours, made in Belgium by Stassen SA.

During the spring of 2006, the company relaunched Bulmers Original in the UK, a premium packaged cider aimed at combating the Magners brand in the "served over ice" market, which has grown in popularity over the last few years. Bulmers Original is a 4.5% ABV cider and is sold in 1-pint (568-ml) bottles.[1]

of of www.bulmers.ie Which says also if out of ireland click on magners bit and is exact same website.

1. Is Magners the Same as Bulmers in Ireland?

Magners is identical to Bulmers in terms of product taste and characteristics and its branding, packaging and promotional strategy is based on the marketing approach, which has been so successful for the Bulmers brand in Ireland.

2. Why is Bulmers Only Called Bulmers in the Republic of Ireland?

Bulmers Ltd. do not own the trade mark for Bulmers outside of the Republic of Ireland.

The Magners name is derived from the name of local Clonmel man, William Magner, who in 1935 started cider production and founded the company which is today Bulmers of Clonmel.

The Magners brand name was developed by Bulmers Ltd. in 1999 when the company decided to apply its outstandingly successful home market development strategy to a number of export markets. The Magners brand, which intentionally mirrors all the product and design characteristics of the Bulmers brand, was successfully test marketed in Spain, Germany and Northern Ireland and is now exported to 15 countries worldwide.

on faq they both have;

Magners website,
5. Does Magners Use Irish Apples?

Magners Irish Cider is Ireland's biggest purchaser of Irish apples. The entire harvest from Magners' 250 acres of orchards, together with the total harvest of cull of apples in the Republic of Ireland plus a substantial portion of Northern Ireland's crop, is required for the Magners cider products.

17 varieties of apple are grown in the Magners' Orchards in Clonmel and are used to make the famous Magners brand. The 17 varieties of apple mature at different times of the season, thus allowing the orchard managers to pace the harvest and produce sufficient varieties to make up a traditional blend like Magners, throughout the year.

suppose if its made from apples the taste could vary slightly anyway. Its not just a mix of chemicals like most lagers. I don't see the appeal though myself, don't like the stuff.
