I would give most people who are into cars a little more respect about how much they know. If that comment was made because someone compared a vtr to a fiesta 1.25 zetec I would say they are a decent comparison (you seem to be suggesting that corsa jay was unreasonable in comparing the two )


it wasnt a dig at anyone m8, it was a good comparison as the vtr is only 90bhp.

i meant people i know in general seem to think the vtr is a hell of alot faster than it actually is.

the 1.6 fiesta beat a 1.6 16v saxo

A VTR would destroy a 1.25 Fiesta, I should know I used to have a 1.25 and its quick for a 1.2 but wouldn't get near a VTR or even a 1.4 Furio.

Blatent lies, or the Saxo was badged up as a VTR. The 1.25 0-60 is 12sec with no power after 60 so the VTR would be long gone.

Listen to those that know what they are talking about.

1.25 is slower than an X14XE Corsa, and an X14 Corsa is slower than a 1.6 8v Saxo. End of...... An induction kit and exhaust isn't going to make it twice as fast...
