Id definatly go for the e36 im on my second one and love everything about them!
Byt the way there really is nothing in it between a 3.0 and the Evo. Most evos dont make the 321bhp claimed output so are pretty much the same as a good 3.0 and then you dont have the worry of the Vanos unit.
I really like the way they drive.

The V8 E39's had a different steering rack because of the heavier engine and apparently the handling went funny, apart from in the M5.

If you have a car to sell or havent got CASH, please do not waste mine or your time.
The car is no longer used at all and is simply waiting for its new owner to come buy her. I'm going to stick it on auto trader some time this month as I dont seem to be getting any joy on here or piston heads. Plenty of calls coming my way but no serious people wanting to view. Please bare in mind this car is not a common color and once its gone its gone so dont hang around.

My boss used to have a K reg (I think) M3 Evo. It was an absolute animal! Extremerly quick (whilst keeping grip and feeling safe), but supped fuel for fun. Great cars though. I think his had 100k on it and was a Cat D, bought for £4.5k and sold for £5k.
