dont know why, just will allways be that way
we have had this discussion many times at work, there is no major following with the vaux like the fords. i mean vaux boys dont want to spend a penny, granted you get a few who do, i.e. you, me dave etc...... but on the whole theres just not so much passion for speed

indeed, its a shame.... there is a lot of potential, we need more andy hamiltons to spur people into thinking that tuning a corsa/nova isnt just about dropping a c20xe in.

there's more than enough cars to persuade TV to do something similar though, surely?
not just on here, but MIG and all the rest, loads of big power turbos and 200 + bhp 1.6s which would also be entertaining...

very true, and a LET with phase software isnt the end of tuning turbo vauxhalls
Adam F/Muppetpsort/Rickdraper etc are the people who are building mental cars, but the problem is you can remember all the mental vauxhalls, there isnt many

looks gd and some very cool card but some of the times arent that overly impressive, yes they are impressive for the size of the engine so in clases i think they would win hands down but there are some very fast corsa`s on here that im sure would give them a gd run for there money!

I think there's a lot more Powerful LET's out there than you think.... And XE's..... There's hundreds over the 200bhp @ Wheels figure.... (Mind you 80% are in Kit Cars )
Admittedly we're still miles behind the Blue Oval lot for out and out power

Oh I see....
But saying that Power isn't everything.... Oli (DHDev) he posts on here. Has just 164bhp from his 1.6 16v and yet his PB 1/4 is 13.8!!! Which beats a lot of these boys with over double the power!
And my Turbo'd 1.6 8v used to do a 14.1 and when it was running rough

to be honest thats daft! your not going to get that kind of power from people who tune, only people who have dumped a c20let in a corsa and spent some money on phase software. wheres the tuning skill in that, daddy thrash is good, it proves tuners, its what keeps the tuners going in the ford world. the vauxhall world is all:
" me and my mate bob build this rotten nova in my shed with some left over kitchen forks from my days at McDonalds, got 490218bhp from it too......yawn yawn yawn"

yes agreed, but look at their top speeds, you cant have a 1.6 doing 160+map and do a 1/4 mile in 12seconds! its all in the gearing!

200bhp 1.6s
Andy
You
Dave
Lee303
off the top of my head.
LETs with big power
Rick Draper
Muppetsport
AdamF
Beardy
Lee Mitchell
Timrud_
that's just off the top of my head.
Go to MIG, there's 400bhp calibras, cavaliers, astras, that rwd cavalier, pete thingys LS1 astra, 4x4 mk1 astra, that bloke willay knows' let astra, then there's the random things like the twin turbo rwd astra mk2 being built on mig.
Loads of cars which are quick. they might not beat the ford lot, but they'll do pretty damn well at trying.

thing is the ford boys build cars and they work. look at christian, only time he trailered his car away was this year. jamie drove his home after he set his times...........
dont get me wrong im not saying the vauxhall boys are rubbish, we just have some catching up to do
