TBH his site I would not put in direct competiton with Corsasport...I do not think members are going to leave here to go there do you?

Not so bad if he'd joined up & posted a link to the site with a little introduction, asking people if they'd mind having a look etc.. But to try & hide his intentions with a "HAPPY NEW YEAR" is a bit lame.

tbh im well supprised people on here will join up mainly because of the website name

I'm not slating the site he's plugged.. (I said it looks shit because I can't actually "see" any of it without registering) but more the way he went about doing it.
It comes across as a miserable attempt to try & trick people into visiting his site. Something which I find insulting.
