Why pay it? Did you not look into insurance before you got the engine? No offence but paying £3200 for insurance is just stupidity.

WTF, its three bags to insure a corsa for a year.

Cut your losses and get something underpowered to earn some NCB.

I think mine is 700/800 odd a year (I can't actually remember) and I thought that was dear.

yea but some people i klnow think spending £300 on insurance is stupidity, where do draw the line. When i used to work in insurance (superbikes) it wasnt uncommon for someone to spend 6k insuring a 6k bike

Also, some companies use the car the engine came from as the car you are driving.

if you get what i mean, your corsa is a group 4 or whatever, engine came out of a astra gte, group 12 or whatever, they insure you on a group 12 car.

not quite sure how old you are or if you have any points but when i bought my XE'd corsa i had a list of company's to call which narrowed down to 2 Brentcare and flux

first called brentcare they quoted me £xxx then called flux who quoted me around £100 more and then they asked me what the best offer i had was so i told them it was £xxx amount the guy goes to me give me a sec.

puts me on hold for a min beats the price by like £50 so i called brentcare who dropped another £30, called flux who dropped another £30 off that

sorry cant quote exact figures as i dont remba all i know is i payed £700 tpft 1yrs no claims fully declared although not as modded as your

personally i was happy with that as my area is listed as a high crime area although it the complete opossite lol

Foooooooooooooooooook me £3200.

Hence why I'm waiting on my insurance coming down before an XE goes in mine.

Had some recent quotes ranging from £850 - £1400 all Fully Comp.

£850 quote was with existing insurance company but limited milage.

I'd have bought myself a run about and insured it to build up NCB for that £3200, sorry but they have seen you coming

ring flux up and say you were quoted better elsewhere and ask them to beat that price or you'll cancel.

Try Tesco, they wanted £450 off my FC on a valver. I'm nearly 25 with 4yrs no claims (no points or claims etc).
