Was just about to say that Matt, I don't know what colour he used. I just gave them him to refurbish, they always look alright to me but if your not happy with them then I doubt you ever will be unless you get them done again or just put the Speedlines on.

take 'em to a body shop and get them laquered? Not gonna be expensive to do, and gives the desired affect. Softstarts are better IMO
