About 1-2Shots Whiskey, hot water ... teaSpoon of sugar ... - Sip it, taste's horrible but does the trick

**Note its a small drink - not a mug size **

Try honey & lemon linctus Lawrah. Boots do a good one.

'Tis very soothing gear.

Mate of mine swears by Lemsip with Johnny Walker in it.

Steam inhalations help too, espesh if you drop a Karvol capsule in with the boiling water.
