My mate had a guy from his work's home for an evening cuz he wanted us to fix it. So we gave it some abuse. Its good on both tarmac and grass, but not as good as a touring on tarmac. But you can pretty much take it anywhere and off jumps.
Its the same engine as the RS evo touring cars, so around 40-50mph. Definitely fast enough, especially for a beginner.

if you want something for on road use go for a hpi or tamiya
i have a tamiya tt-01 which i bought from jake off here, its not nitro but its great fun for whizzing around car parks etc. drifting here an there
when i bought it
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/3806/set1.jpg
a few changes
http://img382.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m3gtay9.jpg

but if your looking for something you can use off road or basically anywhere go for a nitro stadium truck/off road
such as the
hpi rush or hellfire
hpi savage
or traxxas t-maxx
^ all the above come rtr & there are plenty of hop-ups & spare parts on ebay etc

I have one that does 70 mph, but as already said you have to find a massive space for it to be any fun. Plus be prepared to be buying alot of spare parts every time I use mine something breaks.

Just found this one off Jamie Walby's shop website.....
Following the Porsche Carrera, the Citroën Xsara and the Subaru Impreza, Tamiya now releases the JGTC Xanavi Nismo Z to our hot TGS-R XBG line-up, giving you the best in engine RTR excitement.
About the Xanavi Nismo Z
Replacing the 2003 Skyline GT-R with the newly designed Nissan Z, the reigning JGTC champions, the Xanavi Nismo team, currently sits in second position in the drivers rankings just 1 point off the lead. When compared to last years GT-R, the 2004 Xanavi Nismo features an improved chassis design, a lower center of gravity, wider tread, more solid body and better front/rear weight distribution. Showing from the outset her improved performance, the Xanavi team took an exciting win in the first race of the season after coming back from 9th position. Together with fellow NISMO teammate, Motul Pitwork, they have given the NISMO team a massive lead in the Team Championships, almost certainly ensuring them a second consecutive team title.
About the Model

Powerful FS-12SW engine that is easy to use and maintain.
Features recoil starter and Speed-Tuned Gear.
Full bearings and oil dampers for unbeatable running performance and handling.
