Around 3 glasses of wine and a couple of pints of bitter then drives, just because their old doesnt mean they can side track the law.
Pisses me off when younger drivers get pulled up all the time and breathalised, whereas these old boys never do.
IIRC if a licencee/bartender is aware that a Customer is intending on drinking on driving then it is their responsibility to refuse to serve them.
Anyone who drinks and drives deserves get hurt IMO, I've never done it and never will
Benji
Your right i should refuse them however, when customers tend to be 5 glasses at a time, you sort of loose who is drinking what and at what amount.
However they all drive over the limit

who voted the 3rd option?
I've driven after one pint before, but tbh, even that makes you drive badly, as you're constantly thinking about the fact that you've had a drink, and that it shouldnt be too much, but it could have been.
I don't do it at all now, it's not worth the risk.

I don't understand the problem with having one, there is a limit, if you are below it there isn;t a problem.
One pint does not make you drive badly unless you allergic to alchohol or don't usually drink etc.

Dont Drink Well just J20,
Dont really agree with the whole drinking game. As most people only drink to get pissed. Im sure if there most people who drink where offerd a pint of non alco beer that tasted the total same as standard beer they would always take the 5.5% stuff.
In short, Most people only drink to get pissed. Its a wast of mony. And most drunk people always behave like tits

Ive drunk drove quite a few times, as have all of my mates, some have got caught, some have crashed, luckly no ones been hurt apart from in the pocket - its not big, its not clever, its just a silly mistake when your not thinking clearly. Ive not done it for a few years now & hopefully wont ever again.

I clicked option 2 btw, 2 pints over the course of a couple hours is fine imo.
Or 1 if your having a quick one & jumping straight in the car seconds afterwards!!

TBH I think more people should pay attention to drink driving the morning after because I bet almost everyone on this site has done this at one time or another!!!
It happened to my brother and he was only just over the limit and the min ban is 12 months

It has been shown a few times that a small amount of alcohol such as a pint actually makes you a safer driver.

Ive read all the comments made so far, and its amazing how angry some people get about it. IMO its all about being responsible and knowing your limits. If you dont trust yourself to have one and still be a safe driver, then its appropriate not to drink and drive at all. Personally i can tell when alcohol is going to affect my driving. I usually base it on how much i have had to drink in terms of non alcoholic beverages, how much i have eaten on the given day and how long ago i have consumed alcohol and how many times i have been to the toilet! lol yeah sounds funny but it makes sense! Its down to YOU to make the decision, not the bar tender or your mates!
