Increased road tax (210 quid i think) is only for new high emission motors.
If you have to buy a TD Shogun go for a 2.8, the 2.5 has 84-98bhp so is gutless, the 2.8 makes 123bhp.
Petrol ones are more lively with 178bhp (3.0) and 205bhp (3.5).
Also go for a LWB model, the SWB are pretty cramped in the back and the boot is tiny... which kinda defeats the point of buying a big 4x4 in the 1st place.

I drive a 3.5 V6 Auto sometimes. Its my dads, petrol....ummmm mid twenties? not the most economical car but to be fiar its a tank and has 200bhp lol
