I here what your saying Steve i just hope if i decide to keep the car nothing does happen in the future.

Colin i was speaking a bit hypertheticaly mate.Standard remap for the VRS gives 180-190 BHP compared to the standard 130 BHP and the torque goes from 230lb's to approx 300 lb's which the car isn't capable of taking for that mileage.

Difference is i bought it from a dealer and i have statuary(sp) rights if i'm not happy with the car for any reason and this is a big reason not to be happy with it.

There's a bit of a connection with me and the dealer so this should be sorted swiftly i hope.

Turns out you were right steve

I havn't got a leg to stand on unless i can prove that the work has been done to the car which as you know i can't.My only shot is to get the last owner to admit to it on the phone and to tape it.

Bit pissed off but at the end of the day they are going to fix any faults with the car at the moment.

The last owner is very good friend of the garage owner and they know full fucking well that i know that they know that they are lying there arses off but they have got me on this one.

End of the day i still love the car so it would have been a shame to get rid of it.Just suppose i'll have to reamp it now and mod it my way..Shame.

mate a remapped deisel on a std clutch for 37k won't do it much good, then again it could have an uprated clutch, best thing to do is ask on briskoda if anyone knows it in his local area section, find out wot's been done to it, wire up a boost gauge, see wot psi it's running, may be remapped still.
