apart from all the obvious health reason
typical non smoker attitude. Like i said i've tried to give up many times but only coz people like you keep tellin me to. For that reason i've always failed coz i enjoy smoking so dont really wanna give up. I have also never been told i'm gonna have a leg chopped off either so i've had nothing to scare me into it.
I think if your gonna ask people personal questions about their addictions you should respect their honesty and not make daft comments.

every smoker knows the health risks, its not like we need telling about it, but just knowing that isnt enough of a shock to quit due to the fact we have accepted those risks

i understand your point mate but your not saying anything to me that i haven't heard before. Health aspects are a reason to not start in the first place. Like most smokers I have been smoking since i was very young coz i thought i was cool so health risks didnt bother me. For me to stop now i would either have to want to stop, which i dont. or i would have to be very ill from it, which i'm not.

I smoke its a habit more than a addiction but youve got to really want to stop yourself to stop not by just being pushed into it! My Grandma got lung cancer she didn't stop smoking becoz she said wots the point in stopping now the damage is doen which is very true!!

I don't have any addictions, perhaps i crave sex now and again but wouldnt call it an addiction
My mum smoked from when she was 16 till when she was 38, and having my little sister, she was close to dieing due to the tar on her lung and in her throat making her unable to breathe... She gave up on the day she give birth to me little sister, and hasn't once smoked a fag since 9 nearly ten years down the line!

I know a few smokers who think the same thing. Is this some sort of smokers philosiphy? if so then why not lob yourself in front of a bus and get it over with quicker

Perhaps the damage has already been done.. BUT.. if they do stop smoking they have chance for the damage to not continue and actually get a bit better! All the tar and shit would move in a couple of years, able to breathe and motivate much better, and also able to live a longer more meaningful life

used to smoke 20-30 a day, gave up as didnt want t o smoke anymroe to save money and be healthier.
I didnt crave one for like a year. I now do most days and tbh i will probably smoke again. Its very addictive.
Other than that my vices are beer and chocolate (not at the same time mind) i have one of those addictive personalities which is fucking annoying tbh

Exactly Kat. The damage is NOT done unless they already have cancer or something. The body can flush it out over a couple of years
