Haimsey, you should join your Uni's ski club and come to the race this weekend, even if you can't ski or board. Random thought, but i'll be there

had a look at that corsa wen it was at knockhil, and it has had the engine turned to run rear wheel drive, and sits much further bk in engine bay, into bulkhead. Didnt look to impressive at knockhill.

SPYDER ROLLING RACE CAR CHASSIS
A most effective short wheelbase rear-engined layout, designed mainly for Sprint/Hillclimb competitions. Available in 2 or 4 wheel drive configurations.

The rear-wheel drive chassis above has been dimensioned to suit the Mini bodyshell. It is powered by a Ford CVH motor, transversely mounted on a Jack Knight gearbox, and installed in a Metro front subframe - suitably modified for rear-engine use. To keep costs down, the original Metro four pot caliper brakes and suspension systems are retained. The weight of the entire skinned chassis, including rollcage and all pickups, is 174.2 lbs - lighter than the average driver!
its on my xmas list
