Waiting on my Bro in law phoning me back to see if he can refurb them..Hope so...

Earl I would rather have 2 wheels needing refurbed / replaced than fucking up the front of my car even if his insurance would pay...

Steve maybe I could have caught him but at the time I thought he was gone...maybe i should have went right round roundabout and chased him...

whats makes you say that Jr? It's the stainless lip thats worrying...

And new wheels time, spendning thousands on the house at the moment and I can't justify getting new wheels..These ones were £1100 and not even a year old yet.

Just inspected the car in daylight, doesn't look like any damage to car, the spokes look ok on inspection. It is just the outer lip of the wheels right round the edge

You'll be able to get them repaired, I wouldn't worry to much mate. You're still out of pocket, but could have been worse!

If I was you, I won't bother about the stainless edge. Might be cheaper just to get the whole wheels painted that same colour or even just get the lips done silver. £30 a rim for repair IIRC.

Roundabout at Bankhead, not the big one though...

Going to go and see bro in law at garage to see what he can go..It's not as bad as I 1st feared but it is right round the rim...

I've been looking into getting mine done mate, apparently they can build up the damage by welding in some aluminium, then they machine it back round, polish it up and lacquer it again.

Sounds pricey Ash might be better off buying 2 new wheels... One a month or that..Then can can keep one for a spare and sell one on...

Yeah I know gaz, soon as I hit kerb I swerved back out but by that time too late

I rekon a good specilist wheel place will be able to do them if they are not actually buckled etc.

hate people that drive off though as it happed to me when i got hit from behind at the roundabout. As soon as you have recoverd from the shock of been hit or swerving they are off

I managed to get a reg as it day light though. But that was almost a year ago and the police did nothing about it anyway

Surely its more of a natural reaction to swerve rather than keep going into them?
