Who's "He"? Seems to be a third party?

Is the company a large one, i.e Dominoes etc, and is your bosses cars a company car? If it is, it might be worth phoning up the main HQ againa and double checking, as usually insurance is bought to cover ANY driver if it's a company car that may have to be used for buisness. Just a thought .

I take back my previous statement.....If you have a previous IN10 I would imagine they will throw the (heavy) book at you.

Girlfriends cousin had an accident in his car 3 months after passing - it wasn't his fault.

However when he came to check his documents; there were none - his dad had said he would insure him for his first year etc and that he was paying for it; it was all sorted but then his dad had a heart attack and spent a couple of months in hospital. In all the time and confusion the insurance never got sorted and Grant didnt know about not being insured

when he went to court the magistrate was very leniant and given the mitagating cicumstances, they let him off with no points, no fine but he did have to pay court costs

If I were you I'd be upfront from the off; make no excuses for not checking that you were insured; but do put across the point that you were in the employers car carrying out a task he had asked you to do and that he had told you that you were insured

if its a leniant magistrate you may just get fine - then pursue a civil case to recompense yourself by the business/boss

No

Its a motoring offence which prosecutes a driver.

Anything else is in addition to that. You can't escape the legal process because you fancy giving someone else the bill.

Its HIS prosecution.

Don't worry about Prison, there's only about 4 spaces left, so Logic would say they'd keep those for the murderers...

...Legal System?... Logic?... You're going down

Seriously though, there's no harm in explaining the circumstances, I can't see it doing you any harm .
