I've claimed for whiplash before. Its a lot more than just the payout. If its bad like mine was you need proper treatment & they claim the costs of this, plus you can claim back any costs of travelling for the treatment, time off work etc..
At the end of the day its not your fault she hit you, why should you suffer? Get what you are entitled to, thats what insurers are there for

I got 3k for my whiplash, it was pretty bad though, it still affects me now (16mths since the accident) & probably always will. I work with children & if I carry the 1yr old around a lot I can be in agony later that night. Its something I just have to live with now, given a choice I'd have my health over 3 grand any day!!!

its not moral, they're gonna fuck her over.
would you want someone to claim £3000 of you?
How is it not moral? they claim against her insurance company not the driver.....If he is genuinely injured he has a claim, if he's not don't claim...
u will be already claiming off her insurance for your car as will she be so she has already lost her no claims so doesnt matter now how much the claims are in total.
if u have whiplash i think it can give neck problems for life so take the money now while u can... could maybe flare up in the future etc

Whilst i can appreciate Mav's views on this subject (I can remember the photos) it's slightly wide of the case in this instance.
I'm all for a claim if 'genuine' injuries are sustained....but having a bit of a sore neck the morning after a crash doesn't warrant a claim IMO
Claims culture gone mad if you ask me.

just claim makes no difference to her, insurance company pays for everything, makes no difference if they only pay out for the damage to your car or the damage to your car plus any compensation injuries.
yeah, apart from everybody elses insurance cover costs rise because of someone getting 1.5k for a merely inconvenient 'pain'
Not saying that is the case here because he hasn't posted enough details....but you get the drift
funny because if you read up on the fact it turns out personal injury claims against insruance companies have dropped every year for the last 3, do we see this translate into saving for our premiums? no.
Simple fact is insurance will remain the same or rise regardless if people claim or not.

You are quite correct ive not checked my fact(s) there.
However, since every other advert on cable is advertising personal claims I have to dispute your claim(s) there

As I said yeah If you are genuinely injured fair enough...If you are trying it on I do not agree with it at all...

Sounds alot worse m,ate than just slight whiplash so thats fair enough..
Like my wifes claim she's still in pain 16 months on with her foot, no lasting effects of her lungs though..And still gets nervous driving...Also with her being pregnant she went through 8 months of hell after the crash thinking that there would be someting wrong with the baby etc..
