if you go to www.saxperience.co.uk simo has a calulator that works out the maximum speed for saxos and 106's depends on wheel size, RPM and Gear with standard boxes. There is a limit of less than 130mph with a VTR box.

i managed to get my old standard vts off the clock on a few occasions, in reality i think it was likely that its true speed wouldn't have been over 130mph.

Vtr won't touch anywhere near that speed with those mods, or with the std gearbox

these silly young boys thinking that an induction kit gives 10bhp

btw - i didnt think vtr clocks went upto 140mph?? am sure its only 120, cud be wrong

I don't doubt that it'll do 140...with a different gearbox my bro's VTR only has a custom exhaust system & green induction kit and does 130. What shape of vtr is it btw? phase 2?

Edit: It does 130 on the clock have no idea of actual speed.

VTR gear box is better for top speed than the VTS box. The VTS is the faster car though.

My old saxo did 145 downhill with the wind, so 140 wouldnt be a problem on a straight flat road.

i beat my mates VTS in my 8v nova.

That was on the motorway flat out... my mates like i wasnt in the right gear blah blah blah!
