IMO parents are to blame for primary socialisation, kids first interaction is with their parents, so i'd say they carry a fair weight of the problem, not to say schooling carries the blame also. IMO there's nothing more frustrating than seeing a chav mum screaming and swearing at her kid that's old enough to walk/talk right in the middle of town. What's that teaching them that it's okay to scream and swear in the middle of town? At the end of the day these young, rough parents have litlle to no life experience apart from picking up their benefits, wow now there's something to teach the future generations... makes me so proud
you ever take sociology at A level lol ?
Sociology, psychology, taking a councelling elective as part of my degree course
lol it was the primary socialization that gave it away .

Not all young mums are scrounging chavs. My missus is 17 + we've got an 8 week old. The only benefit we get is the family allowance which is about £17 a week. Does that mean she is a scrounger. People are too quick in this country to look down on everyone because of what they see in the media.
Were the couple on the programme who had 3 kids (1 with downs and 1 with cerebal pausey (sp?)) scroungers. The bloke worked from 4am until 8pm but no seems to have mentioned that

yeah, but if they have 5 kids, £1500 a month won't go far with food, rent, clothes, bills, council tax etc.
its not as straight cut as people assume

It's more to do with the fact I don't earn that much.
I'd rather see them fed and watered than on the streets.

why not?
why havent you got any? it was your choice. they are entitled to their choice.
a lot of young parents CANNOT work, because they cant afford a childminder.
people need to think about how they'd deal with having kids before making judgements on other people.

maybe they did. its their choice.
i know a girl who is a single mum, i have a lot of respect for her, because its a proper struggle, and she gets tarred with the same brush, by people who think they should judge.

I also know a lot of people who have kids at a young age.
I agree with you on one point Rob, some do try and work hard to bring up the child on their own or with their partner with little help.
But, most of the girls i know have kids because the government will look after them and supply houses etc.

I have no problem with parents who become parents for the right reasons. Even those parents who have kids when they don't mean to, mistakes happen, that's life.
My main gripe is for those who pop them out one after another in order to get more benefits. Fcuk working, let's just have 5 kids, dad will toss around at home all day instead of getting a job to help the family out, the benefits will cover it.
Then there's me working my fcuking ass off just to pay the mortgage. If I had a kid now fcuk knows how we would be able to afford it.

Good point Dave. If it is a struggle with one child. why have another 4? Beats me, it really does.

its pure selfishness and lack of education, and i strongly will disagree with bringing a child into the world if you cannot support it properly and i will argue to the death about it

Steve, you are generalising.
People are entitled to have children as and when they want, whether you, or anyone else disagrees.

exactly Steve.
The only time I will bring another life into the world is when I know I can look after them properly (this includes financially as well).
As someone said before it's the governments fault. But then again if benefits were to be taken away I'm pretty sure birth rates wouldn't drop.
