you also need to take off the ram pipes from the front of the engine

You are missing the point. All these things could be solved with minimal effort and money. Tighten the belt, £free. Oil change, £15-£20. Battery, well this is expensive, but it's worth it because asking people to push start your car everyday is stupid, so spending £50 on a new battery is a good idea.
