i've looked at two of these now both were sheds though unfortunately. TBH they arent very sought after and dont fetch all that much money! Unless they are in spanking condition!

They were the same Rob.
Turbo 2 was just 2nd gen, like the Clio Williams 2.
If I recall correctly, the 2 may not be quite as good as the original turbo, i.e. heavier etc.
Edit: the phase 1 and 2 V6 Clios would have been a more appropriate reference actually.

Do you know if this shell is forsale as I am in the market for one? All the ones i've been to see are rotten shells owned by dreamers thinking that they're worth £1k plus. I can import a LHD from France for about €800-1000 and the French weather was a little kinda to them than ours so they didn't suffer anywhere near as much but IF I can find a good one in the UK then i'll take it just to save the hassle of going through the UK import registration process.
This is for a serious restoration project so i'm not expecting a minter from a 22 y/o car... a french one at that... but i've also got my eye on a 21 Turbo Quadra aswell so please don't dilly dally. If it's forsale let me know as much info about the car as possible like is she the 'Gordini Turbo' or just the 'N/A Gordini' and maybe a few more in depth photos of areas which are prone to the tin worm and so on. i'd much sooner have the Mk1 5 Gordini over a 21 Turbo.
Mick
PS: What's this Blue one like?

Yeah if you hold on I will find the phone number out for you. I really cant see them having any use for it. They seem to just leave cars sitting there for years

You're thinking of the "Tour de Corse" which was the rally version and fast as fook even by todays standards. The "Turbo 2" and "Le Car" were road going rear engine beasts which made Renaulkt famous for producing small cars with stupid engines in the rear - A tradition that they still carry on today hence the Clio RS V6 255. There is also rumour of a new version shortly with over 300bhp but they are at most just rumors!
