i thought there were no plans for a hot version, as it will take sales from the R8...

afaik, the hottest version is the FSI S Line.

I was reading in a magazine that the 3.2 V6 is Quattro and the 2.0T is FWD. Unless they will do a FWD and Quattro version of the 2.0T

Yes but the S3 is quattro so the TT will get the same transmission

Basically the existing 2.0 FSI in the golf GTI will not take the 4WD transmission so the bottom end has been redesigned to accomodate this

Look on the Audi Website and go to configure a TT, click on FWD it shows the 2.0T and click Quattro it shows the V6. Looks like the 2.0T is gona be FWD for the foreseeable future.

Well they ahve to really... most people will want the surefootedness of 4WD when they uo the TFSI power which they are bound to do as at present u have the 197bhp turbo OR v6... poor choice really!

Thats exactly what I mean - I fell it will be a 250 BHP version of the 2.0 FSI as the S3 uses the K04 turbo as in my current 225 whereas the 200 BHP uses the K03 as in the 180BHP MK1 TT

Also to confirm there will be no diesel engine to added to range - as originally thought as the V6 TDI's are longitudinal engines and will not fit and they will not use the 170 TDI 4 pot

"When asked about a diesel option, something all of TT’s competitors have in major European markets, Hackenburg was transparently coy, saying “If we win at Le Mans 24-Hours with our diesel race cars, this will prove that diesel is sporty.” Which means a) Hackenburg is totally convinced that Audi will win Le Mans with its R10 TDIs, and b) we’ll definitely be getting a diesel option. This is less relevant for the North American market but this will surely change as modern diesels, which are vastly better than the horrible old nails we remember, become more popular."
