Any pic's of the rear???
I quite like it
If you want a turbo & more power by all means get one but I think this is fine at being what it is & it will sell by the bucket load!!!

Thats about as bland as it gets for the exterior. Interior is kinda funky though.

I laughed because it looks the same as the cheapo civic. Nothing at all like the concept.
Bit lame really. That interior is definately out of this world. I cant decide weather thats a good or bad thing but its certainly intruiging

This is my opinion.
Idiotic morons who straighten their hair and read magazines like FHM who have absolutley no idea about cars will buy this because they think owning and being seen in a CTR is the ultimate status symbol, not on how well the car performs or even how good the car looks.
BUT.......
I have a feeling Honda have done something very wrong here, much simular to when Citroen released the C2 to replace the Saxo, it looks more modern but it just won't have the following of the previous model had, they haven't updated it and to be honest I think they've taken to giant leaps backwards with this, it looks awful and makes the current model look quite nice, there are no power increases, no traction aids, all they have done is decrease the range where the power is, surely this would mean a reduction in torque? Not good.

Re-reading what Ant put up I see no mention of torque which probably means its had a reduction, I think this car is going to be totally and utterly sh1te.

I know the Focus St is not the quickiest car in its class but for this new civic to even get close Honda must have something up there sleave.
Ive got the focus St-2 and it goes like stink...any gear any revs and it will pull like a train.

what a shitbox. i see Honda have failed again to make a decent "all-round" hot hatch. bugger all torque, probably peaking at 7000rpm or something stupid, so go up a hill and all your neighbours will think theres a fucking two stroke lawnmower going hell for leather on yer lawn. GAY GAY GAY

It is going to be slightly faster than the old type R despite being heavier.
It has a new engine (Still K20, but not A or A2). The VTEC will kick in from around 5500 not 6400 or so for the old car. It has more torque and is noticably quicker through the gears then the old model.
Also the new Civic has much improved handling over the old one, anyone who has driven even the base model civic will be able to agree with that.
Im not a big fan of the look, but it grows on you slowly, and the wheels are fairly decent id say, there was obviously no way the concept wheels would make production, no manufacturer would put wheels on a hot hatch that required £100+ tyres!!
Overall im happy with the CTR, i dont think its going to take away and DC5 buyers, which is good news for me when i want to sell mine!

Its ok, the inside is great and its the lower models are loaded with toys (Old mans 1.8 Civic puts the VXR to shame with regards to toys).
IMO, for an R though, and given the current "hot hatches" available from other companys, it looks very bland...
I await the 2.0 Supercharged jobbie which "Should" put the other FWD hot hatches to shame (250bhp Supercharged, so power right there!!).....

I bet they don't make it Daimo, enough idiots will buy this one to warrant not making the supercharged one.

I very much doubt they will make a supercharged one, honda are all about N/A power. maybe a lightweight version called teh RR tho for specific track use such as the cup clio or the f1 megane.
some more pics for you lovers lol!!!
