I do handbrake turns in McDonalds so that I can wear these shitty things out
why not just replace them anyway then? instead of wasting effort trying to ruin a half worn tyre?
I took a set of Avons off my old alloys, and a set of Toyos, when they were about half worn, because I didnt like them.
Useful spares

get rainsports then, I actually look forward to driving in the wet
I have triead loads of tyres but I couldnt believe the extra grip I got with the RSports in the wet its like driving in the dry. much safer tyre.

Agree there absoloutely leathal in the wet. That was with a FWD 90bhp corsasport.
I used Avon ZZ3's on my LET corsa and found them to be excellent! I bit the bullet the 3rd time and replaced them with expensive pirrelli p8000's and they werent bad but worse than the avons and more expensive.
Got toyo's on my calibra, seems fine in the wet, buit then it is 4x4. Work well in the dry too, i heard they wear out quick, luckily i dont do many mile

I don't care what anyone says Yokohama AVS Sports are brilliant, my last set lasted over 3 years and inc varied driving styles. My brother swears by Bridgestone Potenzas too, can be lethel in wet though.

Ive got toyo t1's tyres on my car. There better in the wet apparently than the t1r's. I think there quite good, loads of grip and i havnt found them to wear that much. I had a set of a539's before, absolutely shocking in the wet and no where near as good as in the dry. Also they only lasted me 3500 miles

Oh right. Get the Eagle F1 if that's the choice Wrighty Didn't know you was considering it!
T1-R is marginally better than the T1-S IMO, I've had both.
