whats it like to run?can imagine it pretty f**kin expensive!
thats the only thing that puts me off getting an old e30 or even e36 because unless you spend a lot on the car you'll end up spending a lot on maintaining it!please tell me i'm wrong though lol

Yeah I am just off the Old Kent Road. The Corsa i saw last night and the power he seemed to be putting out looked like the conversion was worth it, it was seriously flying. At present getting the car ready for Santa Pod, gonna try out my quarter mile and see what time i get, had my car on the rollers earlier this year and got 310.5 bhp 263 lbs of torque, the guys reckon there machine reads a little under but the engine is meant to push out 315bhp so i did not really care, anytime at the weekends i am about so you can see the car.

fresh_creps in my case you are right, the petrol cost is a killer, spent £30 one day just going to Chatham in Kent and back from London i was flooring it though, but sometimes i think i have a hole in my tank , but parts and stuff are the norm and my dad has a garage so i am well looked after, but i did think of doing a turbo conversion which was estimated at the 12K mark pushing out 450bhp reliable to 750bhp with a limit of 30mins driving before the engine explodes i chose not to well out of my budget

i know what you mean, seems bad enough in my lil 1.6 sport lol but must be a killer in the BM.
450bhp woulda been amazing, but ye,good choice on not blowing up your engine lol.my mate wants to strap a turbo on his 318i but noone does a kit for it that cheaply.he's hada superchip put in already but any other ideas he could do to make it a bit quicker?my corsa can outrun him till about 100-110mph lol

lol the blue one above is my mates, mates car, the one with the blue and candy red e30 I posted earlier, normally part of the convoy, got loads of pictures of it on my pc. Your mates E46 M3 looks stunning for a replica and he is only 18 lucky devil!

fresh_creps how much does he want to spend, its hard to find someone to do turbo conversions on e30 and other BM's who dont charge sky high prices, minimal for a turbo add on is about 3k and the same for a supercharger, can put you in touch with two people who can help your mate out.

Thanks Adam-D, i had three Vauxhalls when i first started driving years ago (giving away my age) a red Astra which i bought from a police officer, was fun to drive as everyone i pulled up behind use to slow down lol, then i bought an Astra Club which got stolen in birmingham, and then an Astra GTE cabrio in blue which the engine blew on, as i drove it everywhere, then came the Mondeo Ghia X 24v, the Fiat Bravo HGT and now my E30 M3, which is the cheapest car i have had for insurance on a classic policy, and the most fun out of the lot, but i am liking the corsa's, there is another one that passes my house everyday, Silver 4 door, tinted windows, rear spolier, nice alloys and seems rapid also, i am defo here to stay. here is another picture of my car and my mates 325i which has some serious plans coming its way over the next couple of weeks.

Hope someone finds this Corsa for me though

fresh_creps these are the pictures i can find so far of the E46, i got some overs of the wheels close up and some different angles but if you know how many pictures i have on my pc its a joke

here is another BMW, will only put a couple up of this one as the owner is very particular about where pictures of his car end up, but its been at most of the shows now and there are pictures all over the place so here it is

Welcome
people are probably thrown by the fact that its a convertible, 90% of people who know what an E30 M3 is will think that its not because its not a tin top.
good choice of engine, thats what I'd do if i had one (and the money )
