The car ran over it's back/stomach side on, did not touch the head. TBH there was not much blood/guts/cuts etc. but it was clearly crunched, rolling and in pain

Id hate to ever run over a cat or something

reminds me of when we were younger and my friends cat got run over. Van just kept going. Worst thing was that my friend whose cat it was saw it by the time we had taken it inside to tell his dad it had already died

I nearly hit a deer once, which would have been bad because I wouldn't have killed it straight away. I hit a bird once and it got wedged into the radiator on my motorbike and was stilll alive. I had to pick it out. But never a pet...

I'd have left the comments mav. It lets people know who has a lower opinion of some animals over others. I prefer cats to dogs, don't really feel comfortable around/with dogs but I wouldn't wish them any harm

our cat got ran over on my estate a few months back and they didn't stop and help. We found him slumped in a grass verge a few hours later. I suppose he didn't mean alot to the person who ran him over (obviously), but still they could have stopped an taken him to the nearest vet or knocked on a few doors or sumthin...

WTF...you've edited my posted because I said I wouldnt bother stopping if Id hit a cat?

Id understand if Id posted up some sick story or pic about it but thats ridiculous. People were posting up a load of shite about Steve Irwin after he died...didnt see their posts getting edited out.

There is no legal requirement to stop/report hitting a cat, unlike dogs, livestock, some birds etc...

Its up to you if you decide to stop.

I friend of mine from school did something horrific down a country lane. He was booting his GSi down the national speed limit parts when a dog ran out and he just clipped its head which sprayed blood all over the car.

Moments later this distraught women runs out crying over her dog then give him her number and says its her responsibilty to fix his car.

Now if that was me I wouldnt of had the heart to make her pay for the broken clip/GSi bumper/headlamp on my car....

it's pretty crap seeing any animals getting run over.

i ran a little girls dog over in my 206 going about 20mph. it was about 10pm at night so was dark. the black dog was on one side of the road, the girl on the other. she called it so it ran in front of me, i didn't even see it, just heard the grim noise

i ran over a rabbit...well kinda.

was going along my road, its beside a cemetary, so loads of them.

anyway, driving along, saw a rabbit, slowed down, but the road is dodgy so didnt ram brakes on, didnt want to lock up, just heard a "thud", musta hit its head off the bottom lip of the bumper then another "thud" as it hit its head of the rear axle , drove back, it was nowhere to be seen! 2 paracetemol please!
