Yip nights.
I haven't done days actually and it might very well be that they do some other important work. I doubt it though

Robroyston.
I coudn't imagine filling shelves for any longer than absolutely necessary though.
I'd kill myself.

thats exactly what im talking about

maybe you should do a few day shifts and find out what goes on. days is a lot more stressful environment to work in IMO. but nights is more pressured to get a job done

problem in most stores is nights take the piss, days have to pick up the shit, and nights get away scot free

We have to do a lot of rubbish we woudln't have to do if it was done during the day.
It'll be different from store to store and manager to manager anyway.

Only thing I woudln't like about days is the pay and customers.
Customers without a doubt want something you don't have or thats at the bottom of a pallet.

Nightshift will be hard work as you wil be doing backfill. During the day you are just replenishing. So long as you don't work on a busy section you can get away with doing not much work...

er yeah actually mate, unfortunately its all about how you fill the form in rather than qualifications ect.

make sure you mention asda is regarded as a good employer.

ow and you love working closely with customers as helping people genuenly makes you happy (this is a good one, as asda's whole premise seems to be pleasing the customer).

you like working in a team.

you enjoy energetic work.

And the section were it asks your hobbies and what this says about you, make sure you put something to say you have been in something that involved being in a team, and you were in charge of the team at some point, e.g coaching football ect.

the rest is just obvious really.

The aptitude test part make sure you fill that in to make it look like you love team work and enjoy working with people ect rather than being a loner; if you get my drift.

Basically there looking for flexible, team workers.

my take on supermarkets...

All the younf managers, and old actually, all seem to be on some crazy power trip over the pished students working there to fund drink/drug habits.

When are they going to realize they are fighting a battle against a group of teenagers that dont give a fuck

I worked in Sainsburys for 4 years (from 16 to 20) i think. about 80% of the managers where fuckin dipshits
