Nice work Digit.
Hope you get it all back together.
Btw, another lump to consider would be the OHC 1.7 litre that Renault put in the Monaco.
It's N/A so would poss be cheaper to insure than a turbo lump, and the Monacos were cracking little cars to drive, very eager and no turbo lag to annoy you.
Keep up the good work mate.

more pics from yesterday here folks. Looks like the enormous power of the beast has been trying to rip the front end off the car going by the look of the sealer holding the front inner wings on! lol more welding to be done there then aswell as the aerial hole...

Yes.
May I ask why you are removing the gear linkage and brake lines etc?

removing everything to respray the car completely (inside, outside, engine bay and underneath - similar to what the ford boys do) and get all the suspension powdercoated etc

Your really ripping that thing apart, make sure you keep motivated. I did a similar thing with my old Corsa, not to the same extent but got fed up and got shut of it.

Great attention to detail; had my school not forced me to do computing instead of mechanics then I would have ended up like you
Taking her apart is relatively simple (for the mostpart) I would guess, it's just putting her all back together is the hardest part. Wish I had the time you have to do my Corsa in such detail
Keep up the good work mate, you're doing exceptionally well.
