about 2 months ago had a migraine took 1 shift off..I couldn't even get out of bed..

January this year, had a week off due to a really bad cold/flu/fever thing, as I only started at the job where I am now, I had a week's wages docked from me.

i had a week off last feb (2005) cos i had the flu and couldnt even get out of bed
like mav i am not one to "pull" sickys for time off

not sure when, but like you russ, over 2 years ago.
always helps when it comes to wage reviews 
I also managed to swag 2 days more holiday as the ppl i work with are continually late, and sick.

Err I am alot better than I used to be but still had about 4 maybe 5 different 'sick periods' off this year
I am more renowned for ringing up at 11am after sleeping thru my alarm, usually if i've been out drinking til like 5 I even did this when i was out with work once. Phone was ringing in the morning in my hotel room (was due to be working in our london office day after) it was like 10.30 and my boss said go n get the train home u won't be in any fit state
Last time i slept in though I had done nothing the night before and no-one believed me
