Had an interview for Lidl's district manager scheme when I finished uni, didnt really fancy working 6 days a week and long days.
Just had a look at Aldis, you walk into £36k with an Audi A4 company car Thats fucking good. Id work 6 days for that

networking would be good. Or perhaps a more general helpdesk sort of role. They would be my short term goals anyway. Say within the next 2 years

how much do those sorts of things cost though?
I'm going to be working 9 out of 10 days soon so can use the day off to study for something like that perhaps.

Its not just the 6 days. Your expected to work anything from 5am to 10pm in one day. You have to opt out of the EU working time directive in your contract so you could even work longer. IMO I'd rather make less and still have a life.

Retail Management is well known to have a high labour turnover due to the amount of work related to pay.
I would give it a try but ultimately try and work your way into Regional Management as it offers a greater variety of task without the drawbacks of being confined to one store.
Use your degree to get into the higher tier of management rather than aiming for a position as a retail manager.
