the 20v turbo's ain't shy. once they get the power down they are fast motors. 220bhp standard is pretty good for a fwd car.

Just to add to this. This was my mates Fiat Punto GT. It was going to be his first car but sold it due to the insurance being stupid price. Powerful for a 1.4
8v turbo (see pic)
(i know there is a standard alloy on it, it was being re-cond)

Erm from what i remember it had been superchipped, piper-x filter, some performance exhaust, turbo tweaked with. He got it given like that off his sister for free lol but he has now sold it, got £3050 for it and bought a 00' punto sporting.

Just bought a minter of a punto GT myself. Bleed valve, dump valve, turbo timer, full stainless etc.. Picked it up for £2300 with low miles.

yeah mate but nxt car is staying standard(ish)
i have decided im going to get a fiat coupe 2 litre 16 valve turbo 195bhp
insurance will be 850.00 ( and i havent even shopped about yet !!!! )
im going to put dump valve and filter on it
then an exhaust
then lower it
maybe change the wheels to the newer style ones and depending on the colour of the car paint them black
then once im bored of the speed and bhp of the few mods listed above i will get it chipped
after that maybe leather interior but that just depends on if the one i eventually buy has it or not
