I know, the book speed for a GSi is 119mph.

exactly, there is no way u can do 120 in a 1.0, not a chance,

even with a decat on

Down hill people varified by a toyota celica with my cusin in it
AND there is a 1.2 12v read the Haynes Max power manual!!!

Max power is lying. Vauxhall only made 1.2 16V and 1.2 8V engines in corsas.

hes telling the truth - 1.0 12v (4 valves per cylinder = 3 cylinders)
- 1.2 16v (4 valves per cylinder = 4 cylinders)

and the cat is in the down pipe, so HOW did you decat it?

honestly, i gota 1ltr corsa b and i hit 115 down hill on way to london... car shook so much i thort i was goin to die

on a flat id be lucky to hit 90... 85 max id say

the speedos must be so far out then ive had 115 mph out of my sport 1.6 16V with a dbilas on it altho it hasnt been remapped yet

I just took my corsa on the motorway, ran out of steam at 100mph (GPS) @ 5200rpm. Interestingly its got 20 more bhp and lb/ft than the 1.0L 12V

ok so i cant convince you lot on here maybe some time ill see you lot; but the point of this post was to inform others on here that if you have a 1ltr de-catting it will produce real results for very little money!

The cat is close coupled anyway so its not very restrictive to start out with.

The speed was down hill your 1.6's can do 118 on the flat, but anyhow I think that changing my cat has made a difference. Another 2 yrs and ill have my 3ltr in there; lol! Q you have v6 Brakes Dean_W what do i need apart from calipers and the holders?(for an upgrade)

You need the calipers, discs, and hangers. That's it. It's an easy swap. 30 minute job.
