Thought maybe booking a hotel and going out on that night and then a suprise when we got back. But I love the idea of a jaqcuzzi in the room.

think many people put too much emphasis on spending loads in order to make a point. They don't care what it's on, they just have to spend, then they feel happy with themselves that they have done the job. No thought goes into it, it's just a waste.
Jade has got the right idea, night in, some presents that Colin is actually going to make use of, and a meal. Can't go wrong.
