i would say im built for it, never had any trouble handling myself when it comes down to it, but im not wanting to be one of them goes into it just to get into rows, want it to be a career. i know a lot of bouncers that have the wrong approach to their job and only wanna fight so actually provoke others.

one of the pubs i work in occasionally is the keel row in the gate, newcastle, theres approx 7 or 8 pubs at least downstairs, all with 2-4 doormen on.....also at least a dozen police on site on average friday, saturday nights.....if theres bother, its one in, all in!

I remember Craig said a while back he had a gun pulled out on him because he chucked someone 'important' out of a club. Fuck that

thats what happend when the bouncers got smashed up, some young guy got a smack on the head as he was leaving so whacked the bouncer back then bout 4 more bouncers started on the lad next thing that happend was there was a riot with a group of lads from a bus,the bouncers were all running about as they couldnt get back in the door as the ones inside shut it, ended up the young ones really badly smashed up the bouncers before the police got in, place called room at the top about 4 years back, never seen so many cars try and get out a car park that fast in my life

guy getting ran over was kinda funny tbh room at the top again. big guy was squareing up to aout 3 bouncers but they wouldnt let him back in so they all just mouthed off at each other before the big guy walked away and got into his bm some more shouteing as he was driveing towards the exit then a big bouncer ran in front of his car shouted abuse, bmw driver put the foot down smashed into him guy hit the windscreen rolled over the top of the car whacked into the ground as the bmw driver slowed down for the exit calmly indicated right then drove off tooting his horn

nowadays you cant get into the car park as to much trouble was happening so its a lot quieter now and full of kiddies

not my kinda work at all and i aint small

gotta admire the old skool ones though that commanded true respect

was speaking to a bloke that was a bouncer in london but had to leave suddenly because he wouldnt let this asain dude into a club as he knew he was trouble. when hes next on the door he getting called a racist etc and getting death threats, then he gets phone calls saying they were watching him dress and telling him what clothes he was putting on, then a few days later he was working the doors and got shot several times and as soon as he was out of hospital he left his life in london behind and moved to bucks!

not trying to put you off but london is a place i would never be a bouncer, its good money but way to many gang members and nutters to be dealing with

dont think it's all about size, yes you do need big guys working in a team but also you need people who are able to communicate!

If you can diffuse a situation by talking to someone then your gain far more respect from people in the club, your team and the person you have to confront.

There's bouncers down here who are 5'5 or so, i'd be more worried about kicking off when they're on the door. You know they're gonna be able to handle themselves if they're that short and doing security.

Although, saying that we do have pretty much the biggest fella in Derby on our door too, which is nice
