you need to tell this bird she has priorities. and if she can buy a car she can pay you back. black mail the bird into it tell her if she dont give u it back by a certain time your going to get legal advice... it works.. the crap themselfs... and find the money..

Yeah if it's her money she's spending! But it sounds like it's not!
You can't say it's ok to spend money on somethings and not others - she owes what she owes and by burying her head in the sand won't make it go away.
The fact is that if she has ANY intentions of paying back what she owes then she will sit down and try and sort out an arrangement that is suitable to both partys - rather than constantly try and fob him off with storys.
It sounds like she has made a few small payments and is hoping that's enough, what you do next is upto you, you either speak to her and see if she's willing to sort something out or you write it off and put it down to experience and neverhave any contact with her again.
