Thats what it feels like to watch, all over the place and utter tripe.

I stayed up late one night to watch it, expecting some action to eventually happen, oh how I was disapointed.

Watched We Were Soldiers last night and thought that was a good war movie

Please tell me you're taking the piss? We Were Soldiers is quite possibly one of the worst war films ever made and Apocalypse Now is probably one of the best especially in it's Redux form. However I would agree that the Deer Hunter is one of the most overated piles of wank I have ever had the misfortune of watching

Agree with all of that

Not impressed with that level of cruelty, bit too close to the truth for my liking.

I thought Platoon was better than Apocolypse Now. Apocolypse Now was a bit too strange for me.

svm yes that scene is classic, that big bodybuilder dude getting done by clint

As for causaulties of war, dont like the sound of that scene hate watching things like that. almost as bad as when someone in platoon smahes a vietnamese dudes face in with the butt of his gun.

apocalypse now is a masterpiece of film making, its quite a complex cinematic experience in all honesty, maybe a bit too much for some people.

the scene with the helicopters going in to ride of the valkeries, rober duvall "i love the smell of napalm in the morning". the base they find where everyone has gone completely crazy, so many excellent scenes.

Agreed, fucking horrible scene.

Actually makes me feel sick, because it's based on fact and you know that kind of vile, abhorant shit actually went on.

Realy such a disgusting image when that evil scumbag murders the man in cold blood in front of his Mother, especially when it was patently obvious that the guy was disabled and didn't understand English either.

Slaughter of the innocents. Turns my stomach and is so commonplace.

I know it's only a film but,
