Some 1.4 saxo's came badged as VTR's, this could exaplin the myth of 1.4 drivers beating them

Only time i've seen a vtr and a zetec s have a race it was dead even

But as said, it's down to the driver. Wheelspinning off the lights does not win races

no 1.4 saxo came badged as a vtr only when chavs put vtr badges on them.

there are sao westcoast and furio 1.4's which share the same body kit but have poxy steel wheels

ive owned two 1.4 16v corsa sports, a couple of mates have had them aslo and can say that a vtr will whoop the corsa as its more powerful and doesnt weigh as much!

My mate had a VTR and when my car was a 1.4 16v he used to pull off better but once we got to top end of second and third gear i was ahead..... but like you say down to driver skills......
