how do you rack up £1000 in bills?

Were they texts? or calls? or both? Even at £1 a minute that still a shoot loads of minutes, you must have been using it a lot.

Don't ignore it - if you contact O2 and show them you are prepared to pay but in one go would be unrealistic, I'm sure they will be reasonable.

yeah just gave them a call just now. they were really helpful. whatever i wanna pay a month is what they'll agree to. There also saying that my phone maybe inactive but there unsure. it depends.

with t-mobile they cut you off at a certain limit and you need to phone them and agree that you are aware of how much you owe
