Right nice generalisation. Does that include the Astra VXR, VX220, VXR220, LC, Nova Sport, Manta.......

i liked the comment from Hammond 'the vxr has all the power and the looks...so it does all the childish stuff ok but in the real world the Fords better'
WTF surely the 2 main attributes of a car are its shell and the engine that powers it, awful chilidish that.

what are we discussing? build quality, or fun factor? i was under the impression that the seat thing was down to design/build quality, not speed and how quick it is round a track

lets write to top gear stating how shite it is becoming... no we dont want to see you test cars by putting them against parkour boys or fucking boeing 747's and shit!!
why does everything have to be set up like your SHITE hour program last week that was pretty much all taken up by a caravan that you decided to smash and burn...
SORT IT OUT!!!

No because you are not old enough, despite having studied such things and be a car enthusiast, to comment on a cars handling. I'm just going to have to say one more thing. If Lotus chassis designs are so good, why do they insist on putting subframes on the Corsa? Despite the fact that Pugs and other cars in the same class use torsion bars and handle better. Just putting it out there. I know I'm clearly wrong despite the evidence.
*groan*
The only reason I mentioned Robs age was because (by his own admission) he couldn't drive a vxR due to him not being old enough to get insured on one
I was a bit dissappointed with the Caterham part of TG tonight, deserved more time and less 'ladish' joking about

on the subject of vauxhalls, top gear will never give a vauxhall a decent review, face it and get on with you lives

No, it's called intuative design. You should be able to do something like that without having to read the instruction manual. The Ford design seemed a lot better. But the Ford looks like a midlife crisis. The Vauxhall looks good.

they didnt seem to move the seats forward far enough, and then over elaborated the fact that they were wedged. but who cares, its not like its gonna stop anyone who likes vauxhalls buying a vauxhall...

Isn't that the point they were making?
People carriers ARE designed for people in their late 30s/40s...and that age group may not be comfortable with the styling of the vxR?
